I couldn't access his site, but I saw the letter in Lifesitenews.
I love what he wrote.
I remember the passion of our Lord and how many have hid and were away from the cross when he was crucified, only one apostle stayed by his side. 1 in 12. I'm not surprised but I am a bit saddened that it is still true today, that percentage, only a few out of all the prelates in the church are staying by Jesus' side, and are not afraid to speak out and stand firm on the truth. It reminds me of movies, how many heroes are in the story, one or 10 out of all the millions of population. It takes only a few to get the job done. It took only one, a courageous and faithful one to save the Latin Mass from extinction.
I saw 2 videos of Bishop Strickland in lifesitenews (video 1, video 2). Near the end of video 2, he talked about the investigation/visitation of the Vatican. I love what he said. A true successor of the apostles. I also watch some of his videos in the virgin most powerful radio site.
I also want to share that he is the keynote speaker in a catholic conference in tyler, texas. more information can be found at the vmpr website. The conference will be on September 1 and 2. Only a few days away. I hope a lot of people will show their support for him and I hope they will upload his speech there.
He and all other catholics who hold fast to tradition and truth keep me inspired and happy so I watch my favorite catholics on youtube or whatever site they have.
In the letter he said:
Once we understand that Jesus Christ, God’s Divine Son,
is the fullness of revelation and the fulfillment of the Father’s plan of salvation for all humanity for all time, and we embrace this with all our hearts, then we can address the other errors that plague our Church and our world which have been brought about by a departure from Truth.
I'll repeat it. Departure from Truth. The world we live in has departed from Jesus, but someday it will be restored. I want everyone to be with Jesus in Heaven. Some people don't believe in Jesus. That's the first thing that have to be answered by each person. Is Jesus real or not? Is He really the Second Person in the Trinity? Is the Church He established the Roman Catholic Church? Is the Holy Trinity the real God?
If that is not addressed first and someone will just debate over right and wrong without basis to the perennial teachings of the Church, I think that kind of talk is futile, a real waste of time. Or maybe I'm just running away from a battle lolz. I encountered someone who doesn't believe in Jesus when I was in the shelter and I don't know how to make her see the truth, I don't know what proof she needs to believe. So I just added her to my prayers, especially when I will pray the prayer taught by the Angel in Fatima.
My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love You.
I ask pardon for those who do not believe,
do not adore, do not hope, and do not love You.
Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
I adore You profoundly, and I offer
You the Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and
Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the
tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages,
sacrileges and indifferences by which He is offended.
And by the infinite merits of His most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg the conversion of poor sinners.
Even if someone says he's catholic, but doesn't even know the basics of the faith, then he's not really one. If anyone would think that it's ok for divorced catholics to receive Holy Communion, then they don't even know the meaning of the word sacrilege, or maybe they don't believe that the Eucharist is the real Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord and they don't understand what Saint Paul said about receiving Him unworthily. Or maybe they don't have any idea what the word "sin" means. Are they even a real Catholic?
How can someone think it merciful to let someone remain in their sinful ways and allow him/her to receive the Lord without repenting? It's like holding their hands, walking with them and then open the gate of hell and pushing them in.
I'm really grateful that at least one Bishop is speaking out about that synod. Affirms the truths taught in the Church by citing those 7 things and will stand firm on those truths and those who will teach otherwise are the real schismatics. I love how he said it:
Therefore, standing firm does not mean we are seeking to leave the Church. Instead, those who would propose changes to that which cannot be changed seek to commandeer Christ’s Church, and they are indeed the true schismatics.
Thank you, your excellency, for being a real shepherd of the Church.
